  • Area = ½ × base × height
  • Any side can be the base. Its height meets the base line at a right angle and passes through the opposite corner, sometimes outside the triangle on the base line extended.
  • Tilted shape: the rectangle around it, minus the right triangles between the shape and the rectangle
